Description
This course is designed for students interested in the genetic basis of evolution.
More introduction
We aim to introduce the basic theory of population genetics as well as how to use molecular data to infer and explain evolutionary processes. We will discuss the evolutionary forces and processes shaping genetic variation, methods to estimate population variation in nature, and important hypothesis tests for the inference of natural selection from molecular data.
