【 MPB News 】Introduction to Featured Course_Landscape and Identity
『 Landscape and Identity_NTU Featured Course 』
Landscape and Identity: Transcultural and Ecological Placemakings is the featured course led by Prof. Chang and focuses on how symbolic ecological factors shape local societies' landscape identities and influence the places' global perceptions.
Students explore mountains in Taiwan and the local community in Japan, which allows students to experience different cultures and rural revitalization. The course uncovers the tea culture in Taiwan and brings students the concept of landscape reformation from the view of local communities, and it helps them revalue the importance of landscape and ecosystems.
