🌍 What happens when psychology meets biodiversity? We found out this week at International College!
Master’s Program in Biodiversity (MPB) had the pleasure of hosting Professor Marino Bonaiuto from Sapienza University of Rome for a special guest lecture on the link between psychology and environment on April 29, 2025.
Thanks to an invitation from MPB Program Director Professor Chia-Ying Ko and the coordination of Assistant Professor Shih-Han Hung’s class, Human Perception, Behavior, and Biodiversity, students got the chance to dive into the fascinating world of Environmental Psychology.
Prof. Bonaiuto, who currently serves as President-Elect of the Environmental Psychology Division at the International Association of Applied Psychology (2022–2026), gave an engaging talk titled “Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) and Well-being: A Threefold Pathway.” The session sparked lively discussions among MPB students, who were eager to explore how psychological perspectives can be meaningfully integrated into biodiversity research and practice.
A big thank-you to Prof. Bonaiuto for sharing his expertise and to everyone who helped make this event happen. We’re looking forward to more inspiring talks like this that bring people, science, and the environment together!
